Basic Requirments
Computer connected to internet and School One portal address with Username and Password
- 1. Open your web browser Goolgle Chrome
3. A new page similar to above page will open, Click on Sign In
4. On clicking Sign in, portal sign in page will open, enter your username and password, and click on Sign in
5. Now your portal Home page will open wich will be looking like above page.
Now that we are in our portal few initial setups before using our school one software, are first creating new-courses and adding new-sections to courses, and now adding new-students to sections. Creating new-teachers, new-accountants. Once we are done with these basic setups we are ready to send sms, email, and can create new results and lot more things
Creating New Course - 2.1.1
1. Click on Courses link
2. To create a new course click on New Course
3. Enter the course name and subjects separated by ‘,’ comma and click the button “create course”
4. This will give a message Course was successfully created.
Editing Course - 2.1.2
1. Click on Courses link, and click on "Edit" button to edit that course
2. Edit Course name or Subjects name or add any new subjects and click on "Update Course" this will update the course.
Creating Section - 2.2
1. Click on Sections link, and click on new section
2. select the section name, academic term, course,Academic term start at, Academic term end at, and click on “Create Section”.
3.On clicking “create Section” this will pop a message "course section was successfully created"
Editing Section - 2.2.1
1. Editing a section is same as editing a course, to edit a section go to sections page and click on edit button of the related section.
2. Edit your section and click on update and this will update your section
Creating & Editing Student - 2.3
1. Click on Students, this will take us to students page.
2. Now click on new student, on click this will open new-student page where in we will enter student’s information
3. Fill the student information, “ * with blue colored fields are mandatory to fill “
4. On clicking “Create Student” this will pop a message "student was successfully created"
Editing Student 2.3.1
1.To edit a student, select the section to which the student belongs to, and click on edit button. Edit the student information and update it .
Creating & Editing Teacher, Accountant, Guardian - 2.4
1. Creating all these there is same as creating and editing new student click on user select teacher or accountant, guardian and click on new-teacher or new-accountant or new-guardian and fill the form, click on create.
2. To edit these roles click on the same User,teachers, and click on edit, edit the information and update it. Teacher,Guardian,Accountant info will be updated.
Now we have completed our basic setup, we are ready to send sms, eamil, create new results, create events. and lot more things.
New Result - 3.1
1. Go sections page click on a particular section on which you want to create result. This will take you to that section and now click on "Results" which is on Top Right
2. On clicking result, this will take us to result page and now click on “ + New Result”
3. On clicking “ + New Result “ , this will open new result page, in which first we will enter the “exam name in” and Maximum marks, Passing Marks for all the subjects.
4. Now we will enter student marks in empty fields shown above.
5.Once we are complete with entry part, and after rectifying marks click on “Save” button to generate resutl.
6.On clicking save this will generate above page, which contains Student total marks and percentage, and to send SMS click on “Send SMS” and to send email click on “Send Email”
Edit Result - 3.2
1. Edit result is same as creating new result but in this we won’t create new result, rather than that we will update the existing result.
2. To edit result first the same go to sections, select the section, click on “Results” select the result you want to edit, edit marks and save the result.
3. On clicking the result we want to edit it will open the exam page, now click on edit result.
4. On clicking edit result this will open in edit mode, now you can edit marks, after editing marks click on save button to save and generate new result
6. On clicking save this will generate above page with a conformation message "Updated result Successfully". This contains Student total marks and percentage, and to send SMS click on “Send SMS” and to send email click on “Send Email”
Attendance Creating & Editing - 3.3
New Attendance
1. To create New attendance, go to sections, select the section you want to create attendance
2. Now we are in section on which we have to create attendance, click on "Attendance"
3. This will open attendance page, in top row enter working days, and enter days attended by student, and click on "Update".
4. On clicking update this will pop a message "Updated attendance successfully", and hear you can "send Email" and "send sms"
Edit Attendance
1. Editing Attendance is identical(same) to new attendance.
New Event & Event (SMS & Email) - 4.1
1. First open events page by clicking on "Events"
2. On clicking Events link, this will take us to Events page and now click on “ + New Event”, to create New Event
3. On clicking “ + New Event “ , this will open new Event page, fill the form and select the Guest, that is if you want to invite only one section, select only that particular section. And if you want to send message to whole school parents select "All Sections". And click on "Create Event".
4. On clicking "Create Event" this will pop a success message, and in hear you can send email and sms, and even can discuss regarding this event online. Where in we can mention what is the event about and can answare parens queris hear.
5. To make sure the event is created click on "View Callendar" and this should show the event created.
Edit Event
1. Editing an event is same as creating an event insted of clcicking on "New Event" we would be clicking on "Edit" button related to that event.
Sending SMS - 5.1
1. Go to home page click on SMS.This will take you to SMS Page.
2. In sms we have basically three types of messages
- SMS for Absenties
- SMS for Latecomers
- And a Custom Messagen
3. In all the theree types of SMS every thing is common, for Absenties we have to select first template, and for Latecomers we have to select second template and for custom message we will be slecting the empty box and we would be typeing our own text in which first 6 workd's should be same as "Dear Parent {Parentname} , your ward {Studentname}" followed by custom text, and clikc on Send SMS.
4. And now to send sms first we would be adding students to whome we want to send SMS, in this we have tow types we can add students one by one or we can add whole section at once.
To add a student we have 4 steps
- Click on add user, and enter the student name in search bar.
- Click on Go
- Click On Add button, this will add the student
- Click on Close, adding a student is complete.
Now select any of the template and click on Send SMS to send SMS.
To add a all students of a Section or group of students of a section, same steps as for adding a student
- First click on Add Section, and select the section by from drop down.
- And now click go, this will list all the students of that section.
- Now Mark on Select all box to select all students, or to select few students just mark on that students.
- clik on Submit this will add all the students.
Now select any of the template and click on Send SMS to send SMS.
5. Now that we added the students we nead to select template, for sending sms regarding Absenties.
- Select first template, click on Send SMS, this will send sms to all the students which are selected
6. To send SMS reagarding Latecomers. Select second template and click on Send SMS.
5. Now to send custom message, just click on third empty box. Enter first 6 words as it is "Dear Parent {Parentname} , your ward {Studentname}" and your message, and click on Send SMS.
Teacher SMS - 5.2
1. Go to home page click on "SMS Teacher".This will take us to Teacher SMS Page.
2. Now we need to add teachers, click on "Add Teacher" and enter the teachers name in serarch bar and click go, now click on Add, this will add teacher.And close.
3. Now enter your text messge in which first two words should be same as "Hello Teacher" and the messages followes hear. And now click "Send SMS".
Uploads - 6.1
1. When coming to Uploads we can make uploads on three different groups.
- First on Course, an upload made on any course can be seen by all the students belonging to that course.
- On a Section, an upload made on a section can be seen by the students of only that section
- And on a individual student. This upload can be seen by only that student.
All the uploads can be seen by the admin on uploads page.
2. First to make an upload on any Course, first we will select that course and will enter the title and slectct file from our computer, and then click on upload. This will make an uplod. An upload made on any course can be seen by all the students belonging to that course.
3. Now to make an upload on any section, first we will select that section and will enter the title and slectct file from our computer, and then click on upload. This will make an uplod. An upload made on any section can be seen by all the students belonging to that section.
4. Now to make an upload on any individual student, we will select the student and will enter the title and slectct file from our computer, and then click on upload. This will make an uplod. An upload made on any particular student can be seen only by that student.
5. Viewing and deleting an upload to view or delete an upload first we need to go to uploads page, this will show all the uploads and admin can delete uploads by clicking deletebutton.
